Welcome To Sixth Form
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Teddington Sixth Form. The Sixth Form years are an exciting and important stage in a young person’s education, and it is a privilege to support our students as they prepare for university, apprenticeships, employment and the opportunities that lie beyond school.
At Teddington, we are ambitious for every student. We combine high-quality teaching with excellent pastoral care and a rich programme of personal development and enrichment. Our aim is to ensure that every student leaves us with the qualifications, knowledge, confidence and experiences they need to succeed in their chosen pathway.
Our Sixth Form provides students with greater independence while retaining the structure, support and sense of community that are so important during these two years. Students are known as individuals, supported by experienced teachers and our dedicated Sixth Form team, and encouraged to take increasing responsibility for their own learning and development.
We also believe that Sixth Form should be about more than examination results. Through our Three +1 enrichment programme, Future Pathways provision, leadership opportunities and wider experiences, students are encouraged to explore their interests, develop new skills and prepare for life beyond Teddington.
We are proud to have a thriving and increasingly popular Sixth Form, welcoming both students who have progressed through Teddington School and those who join us in Year 12 from other schools.
This is also an exciting time for our Sixth Form as we continue to grow and invest in our provision. Above all, we remain focused on creating a community in which young people are challenged, supported and encouraged to become confident, curious and independent young adults.
