Teddington School joined the Bourne Education Trust on 1st December 2019. We are the Teddington Local Governing Committee (LGC), a committee of the Board of the Bourne Education Trust (BET). Our committee is made up of volunteers from the school's parents and wider community.
The Financial Notice to Improve issued by the ESFA in September 2018 was lifted on 2nd December 2019.
The core functions of the Local Governing Committee are to: |

Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction. |
Hold executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the performance management of staff. |
Oversee the financial performance of the organisation and make sure its money is well spent. |
Our LGC meets once every half term and where relevant, calls meetings of sub-committees or working groups to focus on specific aspects of its work.
The Teddington LGC meeting dates for 2020-21 are as follows:
- LGC1: 19th September 2020
- LGC2: 10th November 2020
- LGC3: 2nd February 2021
- LGC4: 23rd March 2021
- LGC5: 18th May 2021
- LGC6: 6th July 2021.
