What post-results services are available, and how can I make a request?

Priority services are only for A-Level students who have not achieved a university place.

A1 - ATS: Priority Access to Scripts

If you did not get the A-Level results you needed for your university place, you may wish to request a copy of your marked exam scripts.  This will allow you to decide whether a priority review of marking should be applied for and can be requested from 14 August, for one week only.

R2P - RoR Priority Service 2: Priority Review of marking
This is a priority service that is processed faster than the standard review of marking, within 15 calendar days of application. It is a post-results review of the original marking to ensure that the mark scheme has been applied correctly. Reviewers will not re-mark the script. They will only act to correct any errors identified in the original marking. Your grade can go down as well as up or remain the same. This service is available from 14 August until 20 August only.

If the review results in a grade change (not just a change in raw marks), the fee will be refunded.

You can find a summary of all available services and associated fees below.

How to make a request

To request an Access to Scripts (ATS) service and/or a Review of Results (RoR) service, you must fully complete the Post-Results Services (PRS) form with the required information.
This form confirms:

  • You understand the possible outcomes of a review
  • You give your consent for the service(s) requested
  • You agree to pay the associated fees

Once completed, please email the form to Mrs Steyn at steynj@teddingtonschool.org no later than 20 August 2025. Please note that priority requests will not be accepted after this deadline.

After submitting your form, you will receive a ParentPay link to make payment. You must forward your payment confirmation to Mrs Steyn for your request to be processed.

The Exams Officer is available during the summer holiday between 14 August and 20 August, to process priority reviews of marking only. All non-priority requests will be processed once school re-opens in September.

Important:

  • Requests will not be processed without a signed PRS consent form and payment confirmation
  • Parents are not permitted to submit requests on behalf of students

Non-priority services are available for all students

A1 – ATS: Access to Script to support Review of Marking:
If you are a GCSE, AS or A-Level student who did not achieve the grades you expected, you may wish to request a copy of your marked exam scripts.  This will allow you to decide whether one of the following Review of Results (RoR) services should be applied for:

R1 - RoR Service 1: Clerical Re-check
This service will include the following checks:

  • that all parts of the scripts have been marked
  • the totalling of marks
  • the recording of marks

R2 - RoR Service 2: Review of marking
This is a service whereby a second examiner will review the original marking to ensure that the mark scheme has been applied correctly and to identify genuine marking errors or unreasonable marking. Reviewers will not re-mark the scripts. They will only act to correct any errors identified in the original marking. This service will include the clerical recheck as detailed in Service 1 and a review of marking as described above.
Outcomes are issued within 20 calendar days of application. Your grade can go down as well as up or remain the same. You can request a non-priority review of marking from 1 September to 24 September 2025.

If the review results in a grade change (not just a change in raw marks), the fee will be refunded.

Certificates

Certificates are sent to schools in November, and we anticipate issuing them on Monday, 24 November 2025.
If you are unable to collect your certificates on that day, you may:

  • Email the Exams Officer with a letter of authorisation permitting a family member to collect the certificates on your behalf. The named representative will need to provide photographic ID and the letter of authorisation on collection.
  • Alternatively, arrange to collect them from the school reception during term-time, during normal school hours

Please be aware that, as per guidance from the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), the school is not obliged to retain certificates beyond 12 months after their issue date. After this period, uncollected certificates may no longer be available.

It’s worth noting that certificates are important official documents and may be required by future employers or educational institutions. It is therefore essential that students take full responsibility for their collection.

If you have any questions or need to arrange an alternative collection date, please contact the Exams Officer on steynj@teddingtonschool.org.
