Proposed Expansion of our Sixth Form Building

As part of our strategic plans for the future, we are proposing to make an important investment in our Sixth Form provision to ensure it continues to support students as well as possible.

We are proposing to enhance the Sixth Form through a carefully planned extension to the current building, which would provide:

• Additional classrooms
• Modern study spaces designed to support one to one device use
• An enhanced canteen area
• Additional student toilet facilities

This development will also support the effective use of the main school building by reducing Sixth Form use of this space to specialist teaching only, such as drama, music and art.

To achieve this, a planning application is currently under consideration by the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. You can view the application via the council’s planning portal by searching for the reference number PA26/1097.

We believe this development is an important step forward for both the school and the Sixth Form. We would like to reassure our community that the purpose of the extension is not to increase the number of students admitted to the Sixth Form, but to ensure that all existing students benefit from an excellent learning experience at Teddington.
