BET 6: Preparing Year 11 for Post-16 Studies

Across the Bourne Education Trust teachers have been putting together engaging transition lessons to support students moving on to post-16 provision, whether based in their own school or another Sixth Form provider.

Once the Year 11 teacher assessed grades process is near completion, schools will contact their students about the best way to access the online transition lessons.

Steve Price, Executive Leader for the Bourne Education Trust, stated, "It's been a difficult two years for all of our students. Despite the novel and engaging virtual lessons during the national lockdowns, teachers want to provide every opportunity to bridge the gap between Year 11 lessons and the expectations and skills requirement for post-16 learning."

BET 6 is a collaborative partnership with its secondary schools and associate members. Students will shortly have access to recorded lessons to support their transition into September's new educational pathways.
