Wimbledon Ball Boys and Girls

Paul newsletter photo (1)We are incredibly proud to be one of the select schools in the country that help train and provide Ball Boys and Girls (BBGs) for The Championships at Wimbledon — one of the most iconic sporting events in the world.

Each year, students in Year 9 and Year 10 are given the opportunity to take part in this prestigious programme. From September to December, selected students undergo a rigorous and highly disciplined training process that prepares them for the chance to represent the school — and the nation — on the global stage of Wimbledon.

Becoming a BBG requires commitment, teamwork, and exceptional focus. The training develops not only the physical skills needed to perform under pressure, but also instils values such as resilience, responsibility, and professionalism. It is a demanding process, but for those who are successful, the rewards are extraordinary.

Representing Wimbledon as a Ball Boy or Girl is an achievement that stays with students for life. It offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience to be part of a world-famous tournament, watched by millions worldwide, and to stand on court alongside some of the greatest athletes in tennis history.

This is one of the many unique opportunities available at our school, and we are immensely proud of every student who has taken part in the BBG programme. Their hard work and dedication reflect the high standards and spirit of excellence we encourage in all areas of school life.
