Dance

“Dancing is just discovery, discovery, discovery.” – Martha Graham

Dance at Teddington school encourages students to be creative and imaginative whilst building their confidence and resilience. There are three primary focuses for Dance at KS3 which include performance, choreography and analysis. Students are also introduced to the diversity of dance by exploring a range of cultures and practical styles. The curriculum is planned with inclusivity at the centre, allowing all students to succeed, even with no prior experience.

In KS3, all students receive 1 dance class every 2 weeks. The focus during KS3 is to gain the knowledge of skills, terminology and technique in order to prepare them for GCSE.
